Take a few dryer sheets with you on your next outing. Hang them around your campsite and one especially near where you're going to sleep. Keeping the mosquitoes at bay helps to have a more enjoyable trip and less worries of carried diseases. They don't take up much room and hardly weigh anything, keep several in a durable (quality) waterproof ziplock bag so you can keep them dry and reusable.
